I recommend using small portobello mushrooms to make these sausage cream cheese stuffed mushrooms. However, any small mushroom should work in this recipe.
Tips for Making Keto Stuffed Mushrooms
- I like to use a metal 1/2 teaspoon to hollow out a little more of the inside of the mushroom so there’s more room for the filling.
- Make sure to use brick-style cream cheese in these sausage stuffed mushrooms. Low fat or regular will work, just make sure it’s brick-style.
- You can stuff the mushrooms, then refrigerate them until you’re ready to bake and serve. Great when prepping for guests!
Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms
While this recipe uses breakfast style sausage you can use Italian sausage, sage, spicy or mild! The possibilities are endless! These Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms make a great appetizer or quick and easy dinner! If you’re looking for more stuffed mushrooms, try these Air Fryer Mushrooms!

Is this recipe meant for breakfast sausage or Italian sausage?
Either work fine, I normally use spicy sausage.
I made a bunch! Can they be frozen, or how long will they last in the fridge?
