Ingredients

  • Cornmeal for sprinkling
  • 1 lb pizza dough, choose a gluten free pizza dough if on a GF diet
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded or chopped cooked chicken
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • ¼ cup chopped red onion
  • ¼ cup chopped pepperoncini peppers
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees and oil a baking sheet. Sprinkle with cornmeal and grab your pizza dough.
  • Stretch your pizza dough into a 12 inch circle, then brush with the olive oil.
  • Spread the BBQ sauce evenly over the dough, making sure to leave at least an inch around the edges clean.
  • Sprinkle the chicken on top of the BBQ sauce evenly. Top with the shredded mozzarella.
  • Add the sliced red onion and chopped pepperoncini peppers to the pizza, then bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden and fully cooked.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh cilantro. Slice and serve!

Notes

  • Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • I used traditional BBQ sauce but you can use Hawaiian BBQ sauce or spicy for an even spicier pizza!
  • This is a sweet and spicy pizza with lots of BBQ flavor!
